Listening and Understanding

I follow simple instruction like "put your shoes in your bag"
I can point to pictures of familiar things in a book e.g. "Show me the cow"
I can show you objects by function e.g. "What do we eat with?"
I understand more than 300 words
I understand "what" and "where" questions
I will point to most body parts

Speaking

I can use more than 100 words meaningfully even if not pronounced correctly
I use simple grammar words such as "the, a, is, on, in"
I will combine 2 and 3 words together
I use many names of objects as well as action words e.g. "eat, sit, run"
I use some describing words e.g. "hot, big, mine"

Play and Social Skills

I make eye contact when spoken to and respond to questions
I will point at things I want to do and look at people to help me get what I want
I can play with toys in different and imaginative ways
I use language to greet people, ask for things, refuse things and make comments

Motor Skill Development

I am starting to negotiate playground equipment with close supervision
I can run, stop and change directions without falling
I can catch a medium sized ball against my chest
I can walk up and down steps while holding on
I can build a tower of 4 to 8 blocks

Daily Living Skills

I can remove coat and simple clothes
I can put on front buttoning clothes
I can unzip and undo large zips and buttons
I actively assist in washing myself in the bath
I am eating a good range of healthy foods

We can assist you in identifying where to start.
